Fall 2020

September 2020

  • Sept. 3: Fall Interfaith programs begin
  • Sept. 4: Gobblerfest
  • Sept. 7: Labor Day (university closed, no classes; residence halls and dining centers will remain open; Housing and Residence Life offices are closed)
  • Sept. 28 – Oct. 4: Homecoming

October 2020

  • Oct. 1: FASFA available for completion for 2021-2022
  • Oct. 5: Last day for students to web drop an individual fall class without grade penalty
  • Oct. 5: Last day to change grade option from A-F to P/F. Visit University Registrar in 250 Student Services Building to process a grade change option.
  • Oct. 16 – 18: Fall break (no classes; however, residence halls and dining centers will remain open)
  • Oct. 19 Last day to apply for fall graduation in order to be included in the fall commencement bulletin
  • Oct. 20: Opening of web course request for spring 2021
  • Oct. 26: Last day for students to resign without grade penalty
  • Oct. 26: Last day to change grade option from P/F to A-F
  • Oct. 27: Close of web course request for spring 2021

November 2020

  • Nov. 8 – 14: First-Generation College Celebration Week
  • Nov. 18: Deadline for undergraduates to request rescheduling of final examinations that conflict or constitute a third exam in 24 hours (see your academic dean)
  • Nov. 21: Thanksgiving holiday begins (courses will resume via online instruction after holiday)
  • Nov. 28: Web drop/add begins for spring semester 2021
  • Nov. 29: Thanksgiving holiday ends
  • Nov. 30: All courses resume via online instruction (courses not held in person for remainder of term)

December 2020

  • Dec. 9: Last day to apply for W grade policy
  • Dec. 9: Classes End
  • Dec. 10: Reading Day
  • Dec. 11: Beginning of fall semester final examinations (final exams to be held online)
  • Dec. 16: Close of fall semester final examinations (inclement weather makeup is Dec. 17)
  • Dec. 18: University and Graduate School Commencement Ceremonies
