Giving Day is Coming

February 15-16, 2023

Nothing showcases Hokie generosity and commitment to community quite like Giving Day. For 24 hours, Hokies all around the world come together to give back to the university that made a difference in their lives.

When you give to Student Affairs, you’re supporting departments and departmental programs that promote the learning, growth and community of students at Virginia Tech. Uplifting Hokies in and outside of the classroom, Student Affairs fosters student success through access to equal opportunities that better their physical, mental, and emotional well-being.

Christi Barbour, a Hokie parent, shares why Giving Day is special to her and her family: “For as long as I can remember, serving others has been a part of my life. It was modeled by my grandmother as she volunteered at the Blacksburg hospital as a retired nurse into her nineties. It was further instilled in me at Virginia Tech, where I learned the depth and breadth of our motto, Ut Prosim (That I May Serve). As parents, we believe in supporting the efforts of Student Affairs to keep our students happy and healthy while they are learning these valuable life lessons.”

Please consider supporting an area of Student Affairs close to your heart. You can give to our beloved therapy dogs who provide care and comfort; a Rec Sports club you have a connection with; VT Engage, which provides opportunities for students to grow into inspiring leaders; or the Hokie Family Annual Fund, which supports Fall and Spring Family Weekends.
