Elevator Status Updates

In an effort to increase accessibility and decrease inconvenience, the Student Affairs Facilities and Operations team updates this webpage regularly to share elevator status in campus residence halls, dining halls, and student centers.

Due to routine maintenance and service interruptions that are typically handled in a couple hours, short-term shutdowns (less than a day) will not be included on this site.

If you are trapped in an elevator:

  • Emergency Telephone Call Button: All elevators in the building have an Emergency Telephone Call Button built into their control panels, indicated by a telephone-shaped symbol. When the button is pressed, you are placed in direct contact with the elevator response center. This is the best option for quickest response.
  • Alarm Button: In the rare event the Elevator Telephone Call Button does not work, press the Alarm Button located on the elevator control panel, indicated by a bell-shaped symbol. An audible alarm will ring until the button is released.
  • Call 911 if you are injured, experiencing a medical emergency, or unable to reach the elevator response company.
