Returning Student Application for Living-Learning Programs opens October 6, and a new LLP opens!
- October 6, 2025
- Did you know more than half of the students who live on campus are part of a living-learning program (LLP)? More importantly, did you know that living on campus in an LLP is not just limited to first year students?
LLPs are a great way for students to be part of a meaningful community while still living on campus. Virginia Tech offers more than 20 LLPs, so there is something for every student’s interest. The returning student LLP application process opens October 6! - The newest LLP is Convergence, opening next year. Students in Convergence will live in the Creativity and Innovation District and share a common experience exploring how ideas and academic study interconnect through arts, sports, technology, media, and other key aspects in the human experience.
Whatever your student is seeking in an LLP experience, the Office of Living-Learning Programs can help recommend potential communities to explore. To learn more about the application process, visit our website!
National Transfer Student Week
- October 20-24, 2025
- The National Institute for the Study of Transfer Students (NISTS) has declared the third week of October as National Transfer Student Week. This week is dedicated to the celebration of transfer students and the professionals who support them. Here at Virginia Tech, we understand the value that transfer students bring to the Hokie community. We are excited to participate in recognizing those students who became Hokies via the transfer process!
