Turkey Tokens Employee Recognition Framework
The Turkey Tokens program rewards employees for demonstrating our core organization values. Employees earn “tokens” through meaningful contributions and can redeem them for Student Affairs Turkey Tokens branded swag. These exclusively branded swag items can only be obtained by participating in the Turkey Tokens program.

Additional Program Guidelines
- Recognition Frequency: Employees can be awarded up to 50 tokens per month by their supervisor to ensure fairness.
- Peer Recognition: Peers can nominate coworkers by contacting the coworkers supervisor. Supervisors will then submit the nomination.
- To check your Turkey Token balance, email dsahr@vt.edu.
- All nominations will be verified and awarded through Student Affairs HR. Once awarded, the employee will receive an email informing them they have been awarded Turkey Tokens.
- Expiration: Turkey Tokens expire after 12 months to encourage regular redemption.
- Bonus Opportunities: Special events, service milestones, and Hokie Wellness or VPSA challenges.
