January 14-22: Participate in Winter Weeks of Welcome

The first step to becoming a Hokie is to attend Spring Orientation. Spring Orientation is for students who will begin classes at Virginia Tech during spring semester. During your orientation session, you will learn about university services and resources and meet with current students to have your questions answered about student life at Virginia Tech. Our goal is to give you the information you need to feel comfortable and confident to begin your journey as a Hokie.

The transition to a new school is often a major milestone for family members as well. We encourage your families to participate in Family Orientation and to create an account on the Hokie Family Hub, where important information and resources will be shared. There will also be a Families as Partners session during Spring Orientation. Be sure to register your family member(s) when you register for Spring Orientation so they have the opportunity to get their questions answered and can learn more about how they can stay involved as a new Hokie Family!
