The Welcome Week Welcome is the official opening to the fall semester and the start of the Virginia Tech academic and co-curricular experience for new Hokies. The event will include presentations by notable academic and student affairs faculty and staff. The event will be hosted virtually and livestreamed. Speakers include Byron Hughes, Dean of Students; Rachel Holloway, Vice Provost for Undergraduate Academic Affairs; Juan Espinoza, Associate Vice Provost for Enrollment and Degree Management and Director of Undergraduate Admissions; and Colin Roberts, Virginia Tech Class of 2024.
Students, parents and families, and the entire university community are invited to take part.
Welcome Week 2020 is a blend of in-person, live, virtual, and on-demand programs and events that take place throughout the beginning of the semester.
