Reunion 2021
Welcome home, Hokies!
Student Affairs supports students by offering ways to build those connections to make our large, public university feel a little bit smaller…a place they call home. This division, comprised of more than 20 departments, focuses on the whole student -- supporting them in their purpose and their passion, their interpersonal and leadership skills, their investment in the community, and their holistic health and well-being.
There's so much going on in Student Affairs -- we hope you'll take some time to view the videos below to hear a message from our Vice President, learn more about some of our priorities, and see how donors and alumni are making a difference in our students' lives.
Welcome from Vice President Frank Shushok
Vice President for Student Affairs, Frank Shushok, welcomes Virginia Tech's 2021 Reunion participants and shares a snapshot of the division's priorities.
Financial Wellness
The Hokie Wellness team's financial wellness program enhances the knowledge and skills of current students and alumni in managing their financial resources effectively for a lifetime of financial well-being.
First-Generation Student Support
At Virginia Tech, a student is identified as a first-generation college student if neither parent/guardian has earned a bachelor’s degree at a four-year college or university. First-Generation Student Support connects with and advocates for this unique population of students to help them thrive during their college experience.
Interfaith Initiatives
Interfaith initiatives promotes constructive dialogue and build relationships across lines of difference, acknowledging the diversity of religious and non-religious identities on campus.
The Market of Virginia Tech
The Market of Virginia Tech provides food assistance to students who, for whatever reason, have a hard time obtaining regular, healthy meals.
VT Engage: The Center for Leadership and Service Learning
VT Engage facilitates leadership, service learning, and civic engagement experiences that advance community priorities, contribute to student development, and embody Ut Prosim (That I May Serve.)
