Stephanie Brady
As Chief Advancement Officer for Student Affairs, Stephanie serves as the division’s principal fundraiser and leads the Student Affairs advancement team, whose mission is to inform, engage, and ask alumni and families to support divisional programs and resources.
With nearly 20 years of nonprofit fundraising experience, she began her career in Boston as an associate with Development Guild — a nonprofit consulting firm. She then transitioned into higher education advancement, working for Harvard University's School of Public Health and Kennedy School of Government. Later in her career, she served as Senior Leadership Gifts Officer and Director of Parent Giving with Bates College in Maine and Major Gifts Officer with Hamilton College in New York. Prior to joining the Student Affairs team at Virginia Tech, Stephanie was Assistant Vice President with the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia where she managed scholarship fundraising efforts.
Originally from Maine, Stephanie has a master’s degree in Gender and Cultural Studies from Simmons University and a bachelor's degree in Liberal Studies from Virginia Wesleyan University. She is also a proud Hokie mom and enjoys spending time with both her daughter and son.
