Student Affairs Scholarship Program

Supporting students, honoring donors, advancing Virginia Tech forward.

Scholarships

Student Affairs administers a number of scholarships to incoming first-year students, incoming transfer students, and currently enrolled undergraduate students who demonstrate outstanding leadership or who are pursuing opportunities whose oversight is managed by a Student Affairs department.

Scholarships for entering first-year students and transfer students first require submitting your Virginia Tech Admissions Application. The deadline to apply to Virginia Tech is January 15.

All students must complete the University General Scholarship Application in Scholarship Central annually to be eligible for scholarships. The deadline to apply to Virginia Tech is January 15. The deadline to submit the General University Scholarship Application is January 22.

Student Affairs Scholarships come in two forms: auto-match and apply-to. Both types of scholarships cannot be awarded without completion of the University General Scholarship Application.

Auto-match Scholarships

Let these scholarships find you! Students are identified as candidates for auto-match scholarships based on their co-curricular involvement, leadership experience, and self-identification criteria as listed in their General Scholarship Application. Be specific and detailed when describing these attributes; this will help administrators award scholarships.

Apply-to Scholarships

A chance to share more of your story! Apply-to scholarships require an additional application, usually asking for more detailed information specific to the scholarship. The deadline for apply-to scholarships may be later than the Janurary 22 date; please reference the specific application in Scholarship Central for its deadline.
